Construction is ready to begin at our beachfront resorts. After years of planning and design, our communities are ready to rise, and Kevin and I couldn’t be more excited. Dedication to making a difference in this country is what brought our family to Nicaragua in the first place. Dedication to seeing that difference realized is what will ensure success in the future.
We’re a family who divides our time between three countries. Some of you know our story: Kevin and I met while I was attending University in Vancouver, Canada and began our business journey in my home country of Nicaragua in 2005. When we set foot together in Nicaragua, we knew we had found our forever home. This country is fertile ground for the development of dreams. We established a successful business, planted the seeds for long-term growth, created a beautiful family and have been able to live the life we always wanted… beside warm waters with our toes in the sand.
We also keep a home in Canada. Our first son, Kevin Alexander, has some developmental challenges that require a school that can provide specialized attention. The kids and I moved to Canada in the summer of 2012 and plan to spend the majority of our time in Canada, close to a school that can give our son the training he needs in an environment that is suited to care for his particular issues.
Kevin, husband, father, and fearless Grupo Mariana leader, will travel between Canada, United States and Nicaragua as needed meeting clients, strategizing with future development partners about our upcoming releases, managing operations and construction and hosting our famous discovery events.
It’s a crazy, four-kid, three-country life, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. The dedication our family has for the country of Nicaragua comes from the source of our blood and the depth of our souls. No matter where we are in the world, Nicaragua will always be our home. We are dedicated nourishing each and every seed we’ve planted in Nicaraguan soil until the fruit of our labor is plentiful and abundant.
Rueda also has responsibility for all other related regulatory and compliance matters to enhance the company’s activities in gathering and analyzing compliance related data to enable early detection of potential issues and proactive strategies to mitigate future risks.
She has close ties to the Nicaraguan community having grown up in the country since childhood and her local roots and well-respected family in the business community bring added value to the Grupo Mariana team. Her experience and knowledge of the local Nicaraguan business community has made her an invaluable asset to the organization.

I discovered Nicaragua in 2003 and have been captivated ever since. It became my mission to carve out an enduring foothold in this beautiful country. My wife and I diligently scoured both coasts of Nicaragua looking for the most breathtaking and dramatic stretches of beachfront. We finally found what we were looking for—and it we’re certain you will agree what we’ve found is both unique and spectacular. The discovery of unique lands with such natural raw beauty was monumental for us—and it can be for you as well.

Mr. Kevin I. Fleming is the Co-Founder and Chairman of Grupo Mariana S.A. and is responsible for directing investment activity in Central America. Mr. Fleming met his wife, Maria Rueda, in 2003 when she was studying in Vancouver, Canada. Maria was born in Nicaragua and together began to investigate Nicaragua and was struck by both the beauty of the country and the opportunities it afforded.
Upon settling in Nicaragua in 2005, Kevin and Maria soon found themselves the owners of a growing real estate portfolio and blessed with 4 children. Additionally, Mr. Fleming is an honors graduate from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and has spoken at over 100 international conferences and presentations about real estate development and investments in Nicaragua and Central America.
